More Birth Certificate Breaking News

First of all this issues is never going away despite the efforts of PEBO law firms and even the help he is getting from search engines like Google that do not display current information on this and other issues relating to PEBO.

This particular case seems to have more teeth than others.

A Well Regulated Militia

Long before PEBO became PEBO, (President Elect Barack Obama) for those who are acronym challenged, I started thinking about gun ownership. I have always been aware of the second amendment and had a general understanding of its' meaning. But never really dwelled on it simply because, like most of us think, we live in a relatively modern and civil era. That was also a time when I just read what the MSM, (Main Stream Media) for the AC people, fed me. Since AL Gore invented the internet the amount of information one can gather is seemingly endless, and as you know from the example just given, not all is entirely accurate...LOL...(no I am not going to splain that one Lucy). But there certainly is an incredible amount of very accurate information and the ability to access this so easily has changed my view on many subjects and caused me to even start this blog.

The results of the election gave me pause as to what might happen to the second amendment, and I do understand that these things can take time. I also understand that recently the SCOTUS has come down on the side the second amendment in the Maryland case. Good news for now.

Then I read this article and blogged about it here A Call To Arms. That gave me great pause. And I say that because I travel for my job and have been to places in this world that I will not return to anytime soon. But to see this going on here in the United States of America is simply frightening to be honest. And we are told by the MSM and our elected officials to be tolerant.

Our country is being lost by us. It is not being taken over, it is being given away. Given that that is true then we should be able to hault the process.

I came across this today and you must read this if you care about our country. The first paragraph is inserted here.

White Christmas

For those of you that dream of a white Christmas you obviously don't live where there is the possibility of two feet of snow....LOL Well even here where that is somewhat common place I guess the little ones are dreaming of a white Christmas.
But talk about come and gone! It started in this neck of the woods on Friday with a storm that left about 11" on average. That would be the picture of the house. I removed that by Saturday afternoon. Then on Sunday another storm that teamed up with a third left about 12+", see the picture of the bird bath taken as I left for work @ 6:30AM on Monday, it is still pretty dark then. And right now as I write this there is maybe 4" left and it will be above freezing all weekend long. So it should be all but gone by Sunday afternoon just one week after the deposit. My kind of snow.

The Audacity of Obama

The Audacity of Burack Hussein Obama to continue to stonewall a simple request to provide the documentation to show he is qualified to hold the office of President of The United States as described in Article II as I previously wrote here in October The Unqualified President is astounding. With several law suits, and other concerned activist, we now have many people of prominence blogging this issue including Prof. David Horowitz, whom I do not agree with. His basic premise is that we can't throw out the baby with the bath water because "X" many people voted for the guy. Well "X" many people didn't and given full disclosure of "all" the information, that the MSM ignored, maybe many less people would have voted for BHO. You can read his blog on the subject and also a exchange with others that disagree here David Defends His Position.

What I am attempting here is to show is that there is sufficient public concern over this issue to warrant some kind of spot light coverage. You see our founding fathers were honorable men and they "assumed" that honorable men would respect the constitution and not run for office if one was not qualified. I could use Arnold Schwarzenegger for example. So there is a sense there is no set procedure to qualify a presidential candidate, even though many people have been deemed unqualified in this most recent election campaign. I give you one example here from my home state of NH regarding Sal Mohamed and there were others in CA and I believe SD and in all cases my repeated request to explain why they were disqualified went unanswered. You can clearly see that Sal Mohamed was born in Egypt and therefore not qualified. But my question to the various sectaries of state was to the "procedure" followed to disqualify a candidate. That question went unanswered. I do believe there is a procedure that may be followed as I blogged in October linked above. But again there is nothing one can point to as an absolute process to vet a candidate. We have until now depended on the media.

Then of course there are those who are complaining that people like me are crying over spilt milk, “get on with your life.” Of course those are the same people that have not been able to “get on with their lives” since 2000. Other bloggers range from a Russian blogger, whom I find very interesting, who writes Code Name Obama, to the American Thinker who wrote Why The Birth Certificate is an Issue. Mitchell Langbert’s blog as referenced above and again here covering the still active Alan Keyes Law Suit in CA, and Michelle Malkin writes a little on the subject The Buzz About Baracks Birth Certificate And there is the Pastor James David Manning with this 3 minute question .

These are not "tin foil hat" wearing people.

That’s just the birth certificate issue, for which by the way BHO has hired THREE law firms and spent over $800,000.00 to keep this and his past from the public. There is also his selective service registration. Yes every United States Citizen who is male and in between the ages of 18-26 must register for selective service, the draft. There are stiff penalties, including jail time, and fines for failure to do so. Did Barack Hussein Obama register? Well it appears that there is, yes, a copy of that certificate as well here Did Next Commander in Chief Falsify His Selective Service Registration? posted by Debbie Schlussel. Just incredible, a must read. None of his college transcripts have been released, his thesis is off limits. So are Michelle’s.

Then you have things like him not saluting the flag of the country for which he seeks to lead Obama Fails to Salute The Flag. Then there is a gag ordered placed on Kenyan family members Obama's Family Barred From Talking. And this stuff just scares meIRAN: Obama's Surrender Installment Plan.

And I could go on about him not disclosing his previous names on his Illinois Bar registration form. We could get into how he traveled to Pakistan at a time when the US State department had banned US "Citizens" from travel to Pakistan. I could rant about incredible support of Odingo, a self professed enemy of the United States of America, (consorting with the enemy!). But when you step back and look at the big picture and if you are just simply a reasonable person. One can't help but say "How can all this happen?" And "What can we do about it?"

On January 8, 2009 the United States Senate will verify the electoral college vote. The process does allow for objections. So I have written my senators to implore them to uphold the Contitution of The United States of America as they were swarn to do. They need to object to the votes cast for Burack Hussein Obama on the grounds that he not qualified for POTUS.

No Power

Well Thursday evening while I was away in Michigan the ice storm had cut the power to some half a million customers, us included. As of today we still have no power and the electric company is saying it should be restored by Thursday or Friday. I am traveling and returning home on Wednesday evening.

We have the gas fireplace and the wood stove so heat isn't a problem but without power there is no water, well water runs with a pump, and of course it gets dark at 4. The basement has about two inches of water because the sump pump isn't running. When we drive up the street at night pretty much all of our neighbors have lights on because they are running generators.

So all we want for Christmas is 8500 watt generator, thanx.

Now we Have Traction

As I wrote on Tuesday the SCOTUS will conference the matter of Donofrio v Wells and because that news hit the bloogesphere in a big way the MSM is now reporting it.

The Chicago Tribune carried the story today, although filled will a few inaccuracies it essentially covers the story. You can read the story from the Tribunes website from a link to it that appeared on the front page of Drudge. Will the Supreme Court take on Obama's citizenship?

Then there is this piece from American Thinker that is very well written. Why Barack Obama's Birth Certificate Issue is Legitimate

Then you have the Washington Times. This one is huge because it will creat buzz in the belt way. Supreme Court May Hear Obama Citizenship Suit

And one final one, at least for me today I am sure this will start to steam roll. Hawaii Hospitals to Obama: You Weren't Born Here

A Call to Arms?

I have always feared that someday the jihad would reach our soil, I just didn't think I would see it as soon as it appears it could happen. I don't know how long you will see this story in the MSM but I just picked it up from FoxNew.com and written by Daveed Gartenstein-Ross. It does make you want go out an get armed. Or if you already are a gun owner, go out and buy amo..

As a former not so good hockey player, a hockey dad, and a current part time hockey referee, I just couldn't pass this one up. OTTAWA — A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital after he fell about 25 feet from the upper deck of Scotiabank Place during the second intermission of the Ottawa Senators’ victory over the Atlanta Thrashers on Wednesday night.

According to witnesses, the man sailed headfirst past and over a few stunned onlookers in the rows ahead of his seat before clearing the low railing at the bottom of the third level and falling onto a row of seats in the level immediately below.

Senators president and CEO Roy Mlakar said the man was carrying two beers when he stumbled over a purse.

“He was not inebriated,” said Mlakar, who confirmed that the man had been treated on the scene for lacerations and that he was taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

“He seems fine, he’s totally cognizant. He recognizes that there’s nothing serious.”

He added that two other people the man landed on in the section below also were treated at the scene, and that a third person, a 33-year-old woman, sustained a non-critical neck injury and also was taken to a hospital for precautionary reasons.

I wonder if they replaced his beers..

Movement in SCOTUS on Obama's Birth Certificate

Yesterday was a deadline for BHO and or the DNC to respond to Phillip Berg's wit and they did not respond. Berg has filed a motion to stay the electoral college vote. Berg to File Emergency Injuction

Also going on is that the full court will conference on the emergency stay filed by Leo Donofrio in Donofrio vs Wells. CONFIRMED BY SCOTUS: DONOFRIO V. WELLS DISTRIBUTED FOR CONFERENCE OF DECEMBER 5 So hold onto your hats boys and girls because this could get very ugly. I do not see how the court can ignore this issue any longer. And for those who believe that BHO is not eligible to be POTUS, pray.

T-Day

We didn't have the crowd we normally do, just me and Janet, Geoffrey, Daniel, and Lindsay. It was actually very comfy and all in all a good day. I did have trouble the night before though. I couldn't find my rolling pin so I used the next best thing for my pies. An empty bottle of wine. It worked good enough. Hope all had a good day.

Back to Politics

I didn't take the election of BHO too well. I am actually surprised at myself. I thought I would of handled it better. After thanking President Bush for getting gas back below $2 where it should be we can also be thankful for helping to set up what is sure to be a socialist government in four years or less.

If we look at what shaped BHO from youth to adulthood it is clear that all who influenced him were either left wing nut jobs or out right Marxist. He even admitted to "seeking out the Marxist professors" in his book. What does all this mean?

We now how the government bailing out Citigroup. They will bail out Detroit. So the incoming President and the democrat controlled congress will have control over the banking industry, the mortgage industry, the credit industry, and the auto industry. Can you say BOehemith?

I still can't get his lack of being qualified out of my mind. And unfortunately I think that that train has left the station and no one on this earth is willing to stop it.

Wedding Day

I know it has been over a month since the wedding but we had some issue with getting pictures and we both have been real busy. But here goes.

First of all it was a beautiful day for an outdoor event as you can see by this picture taken just moments after the ceremony. Click on any image for full size view. You can also right click and save any image.

More pictures of that wonderful day. On the left is the wedding party with the Justice of Peace, on the right from left to right. Daniel MacRae, Lindsay MacRae, Janet Goss, Greg Goss, Geoffrey Goss, and Eric Goss.

You May Kiss The Bride

The Mother of The Groom
Mr. & Mrs. Greg Goss

Let the party begin!

The food was great. All prepared by Janet's son Daniel. All the decorations were by Janet's daughter Lindsay and the entertainment was some live with Janet's brother John and a great play list prepared by Lindsay and played through a massive sound system set up by yours truly.

The bar was stocked and then re-stocked. The two keg's of beer where just on empty as night fell.

I didn't think the deck was going hold out, but it did.

The horse shoe game went on until called for darkness.
It was a great day. And the honeymoon? A three day bike ride in the mountains on a '09 Electric Glide.

The Grand Kids

Having to travel quit a bit has it's advantages, and no it's not all those fine restaurants that keep me trim, it is the opportunity to stop in on my daughter so I can squeeze my grand daughters. You can see more pictures of them here.

I never knew why they were called "Grand" children, until now of course.
Thank you Jeff & Stacey, Love Gramps.

The Unqualified President

As all of my readers know I have been pretty obsessed with the issue of Barak Obama's question of citizenship as it pertains to his eligibility to be POTUS under Article II of our constitution. As I follow the many lawsuits that have been filed and rejected there emerged a common thread. Berg vs Obama in Philadelphia for instance was rejected for lack of standing and understanding the law in this case the judge is correct. (Berg has appealed to the SCOTUS) Other suits filed against the various secretaries of state have had similar results.

So I did some research and, shame on me for not knowing this, on November 4th we do not vote for a candidate. We are electing "electors" that will in tern certify the results in the electoral college. So these law suits don't have merit because they are all based on the "candidate" and it is not a states responsibility to qualify a candidate. That is supposed to happen through the political party that nominates the candidate.

So what happens if that party is neglect in vetting it's nominees? Article II of our constitution is clear as to who can become POTUS and it clearly seems that Barak Obama does not meet the requirements. At least not that he has shown and the evidence supporting otherwise is almost overwhelming. So I took a look at the constitution and read how the electoral college works and I submit the following.

This is from Article II of the constitution for reference.(Pertinent verbiage only)

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Now we look at how the electoral college works. The following is excerpted from here.

http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/procedural_guide.html

The Congress is scheduled to meet in joint session in the House of Representatives on January 6, 2009 to conduct the official tally of electoral votes. The Vice President, as President of the Senate, is the presiding officer. Two tellers are appointed to open, present and record the votes of the States in alphabetical order. The President of the Senate announces the results of the vote and declares which persons, if any, have been elected President and Vice President of the United States. The results are entered into the official journals of the House and Senate. The President of the Senate then calls for objections to be made. If any objections are registered, they must be submitted in writing and be signed by at least one member of the House and Senate. The House and Senate would withdraw to their respective chambers to consider the merits of any objections according the procedure set out under 3 U.S.C. section 15.

Now here is where it gets a little wobbly. The following section is a bit long so I will note post it here but to boil it down the process allows for objections as stated above but in section 15 only described procedure for objections to the votes cast.

http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/electoral-college/provisions.html#15

But in section 17 it states;

Same; limit of debate in each house

§ 17. When the two Houses separate to decide upon an objection that may have been made to the counting of any electoral vote or votes from any State, or other question arising in the matter, each Senator and Representative may speak to such objection or question five minutes, and not more than once; but after such debate shall have lasted two hours it shall be the duty of the presiding officer of each House to put the main question without further debate.

And then in section 19 is where we see the word qualify.

Vacancy in offices of both president and vice president; officers eligible to act

§ 19. (a) (1) If, by reason of death, resignation, removal from office, inability, or failure to qualify, there is neither a President nor Vice President to discharge the powers and duties of the office of President, then the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall, upon his resignation as Speaker and as Representative in Congress, act as President.

So if Barak Obama gets the required number of electoral votes and he has still not proven his eligibility under Article II as stated above then I believe Sen. Joe Biden becomes POTUS by virtue of having enough electoral votes to become Vice President. Remember the electors vote for both the President and Vice President on separate ballots. So being qualified to be Vice President one would assume based on § 19. (a) (1) he would become President. His first act as President? He would nominate a Vice President. I think that would be Hillary.

That is the law as I see it. Now will this happen? I think that our representatives and senators who are sworn to uphold the constitution from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, have the duty to make sure that a president elect is eligible.

The sad part of all this is that it could of been avoided. There will be great public unrest and riots that will sweep over this country and I am sure in places like Kenya, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

How do we avoid this constitutional crisis? Vote.

Wow

Just when we thought things were starting to go smoothly Janets Mom broke her hip. She is ok at the moment, she has a few extra pounds of metal though. A plate and some stainless steel bolts and nuts. (I wonder what brand of screw gun they use) Anyway she was out clubbing and tripped when leaving the place. We hope she will be able to make the wedding. She goes into rehab tomorrow so we know pretty soon her progress.

Rough Week

Well most of you know that Janet's Dad passed away on Sunday. He went quietly in his sleep. Janet was very busy helping her mom with all the arrangemets and keeping her mom company. The wake was Thursday evening and attendance was pretty heavy. William R. Lee and his wife Joan of nearly 60 years had 11 children. So you can imagine the amont of people.

The funeral was Friday and a wonderful service. We had planned a reception at the Elk's but soon after arriving Joan took ill. She was rushed to the hospital at 2 o'clock and approaching midnight we left her well and in good spirits. It looks like she will be just fine.

Movin' In Cook Out

Janet and I took possession of the keys for our new home last night. The Fitzpatrick's, the previous owners, are just great people. They are about our age and we have found that we have allot in common, including politics! We will be seeing them again in the future.

So this upcoming week is moving week and we figure that we should be in great shape to entertain by Aug 3rd. So you all are invited to the "Movin' In Cook Out" featuring the Goss chicken wings among other great food & drink. Bring all and join us. Plenty of free parking. And don't forget to buy the cheap NH gas, booze, and cigarettes while you are in town.....

Re-Independence Day

The Forth of July has always been my second favorite holiday. Thanksgiving being my first favorite holiday. The latter being the day of thanksgiving for the bounty of the new world and the former the birth of "the" greatest nation on earth.

In reflecting on both of those holidays it occurs to me that the courage, forethought, and determination of the people that shaped our great nation might be considered fossil fuel and in today's climate that is a bad thing, pun intended.

I can remember when I was young being torn over Vietnam. I was about 1 year too young to serve. But I do remember the day I registered for the draft. I took the train into North Station in Boston and found the federal building where I was directed to register. To this day I can remember the ominous look and feel of the office. The hanging portraits of our great presidents, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and John F. Kennedy, and the flag standing in the corner. I can remember how official it all was, and when I got my card I remember how proud I felt. I even had it laminated at the local drug store.

So why the title "Re-Independence Day"? Well as I look around this nation, especially in an election year, I do not see or feel the patriotism that I felt the day that clerk handed me my draft card. I see a presidential candidate making excuses for not wearing the lapel pin of our flag. I see supporters of that presidential candidate questioning the patriotism of a wartime hero. I see people making a mockery of the greatest nations' on earths' national anthem. And I see a "free press" that does not denounce these acts as UN-PATRIOTIC!

So is it time to take back our country? Do we need a tea party to end all tea parties? Do we need to listen to the words of the "Pledge of Allegiance" and take them seriously? My fear is that we may have to take back our country and therefore a re-birth would take place. My hope is that we recognize what has happened over the last half century and fix it.

I hope where you are that you are allowed to celebrate the 4Th with fireworks as the writers of our constitution intended. Yes celebrating the birthday of our country with fireworks was written by John Adams and supported by others.

John Adams predicted in 1776 in a letter to his wife, Abigail, that Independence Day “ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade ... bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other, from this day forward forevermore.” "Fireworks provide citizens a means to celebrate their freedoms."

Happy 4Th of July!

The Big One

Well after three years of not putting the puddle jumper in the water I finally "refurbished" the thing and Janet and I set sail on the lake, (it's called Nutting lake) but it's pretty much a pond.

Anyway because this body of water is pretty much the backyard Janet grew up in I left the navigation to her. We were a few hundred nautical feet from shore when she said "this looks good". I turned my high powered battery operated propeller off and dropped anchor. Wormed her hook and she tossed it over board. It went way off the bow for about three feet. As soon as the bobber hit the water it went under.

Excitement could be heard all around this cabin lined "lake", "it's a big one!" I calmly talked her in the proper techniques of landing the big one. This fight, big one versus the accomplished angular, lasted a good 30 seconds as out of the water came the biggest Blue Gill I have seen in years!

I turned out to be a very relaxing day and just caused me to realize how often we do need to relax.

So happy fishing!

Supreme Court 101

Tis the season for Supreme Court rulings, and this season is abound with confounding rulings. Let’s begin at the top. Headline "Guantanamo Bay Detainees Get Habeas Corpus". Well to most Americans, and I do mean most, this means "what?". And then when that particular American is asked how they "feel" about the ruling they say "I think everyone should have the right to the court system". Well not everyone is entitled to our court system, specifically non-citizens. The effect of this decision is that "any" foreigner now has access to our court system. Think about that for minute. Someone detained in let’s say China by our military protecting our athletes who happened to have a bomb strapped to his or her side now has a right to be heard in a US court. Remember Helsinki? That has huge repercussions. Our constitution is for American Citizens ONLY.

Then we have this so called "Child Rape" law that stems from a Louisiana law that imposed capital punishment for child rape cases. Now I must say that I am in favor of capital punishment for hoodlums stealing grandmas pocketbook. But I would need to be a resident of state that voted for a state law imposing capitol punishment for unnecessary anguish inflicted on a person of age...and that is what is called “States Rights”. Now I may be a little beyond what the constitution would allow in my example but the fact of the matter is that capital punishment is a states’ rights issue. Can you impose the death penalty for littering? No, that would be considered unusual punishment. But violently raping a child? Maybe a close call for capital punishment, maybe not. So the court should by default not stomp on the states right according to the 10th amendment. This opens the door for other, and maybe even more important egregious usurping of other states rights. My point is that the media has missed the point on this one. It is a matter of states’ rights, not whether a child rapist should be fried.

Decision number three, the second amendment. Believe it or not I think this decision is scary. The court ruled that there is an individual right to own a gun. WoooHoo Yaaahooo and so on. I applaud the court and I think Justice Scalia’s written majority opinion was genius. My problem with this one was the dissenting opinion and that fact that four of them signed on to that opinion. Look out for the balance of power on this issue.
PS. I am definitely exercising my right in my new home before it is taken away….

Why the electorate is ignorant

In looking at the news Sunday morning, as I usually do with my vente bold, I came across this story in the Washington Post by Jobi Warrick. The headline and first two paragraphs are copied here along with a link to entire story.

Smugglers had design for advanced warhead
Draft
report says ring acquired blueprints for nuclear weapon

An international smuggling ring that sold bomb-related parts to Libya, Iran and North Korea also managed to acquire blueprints for an advanced nuclear weapon, according to a draft report by a former top U.N. arms inspector that suggests the plans could have been shared secretly with any number of countries or rogue groups.

The drawings, discovered in 2006 on computers owned by Swiss businessmen, included essential details for building a compact nuclear device that could be fitted on a type of ballistic missile used by Iran and more than a dozen developing countries, the report states.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25169704/

It is quit comprehensive and in-depth, so why am I pointing this out? Well first of all this is buried deep in the website I use to get my primary news and information. It is listed as one of the top home pages in the world. The top stories today are Tiger Woods, The Making of the Housing Bubble with a big red foreclosure sign, and the continuation of the un-timely death of Tim Russert. Now I can tell that I think it is very appropriate on Father’s Day to continue the life story of who I regard as a great American in Tim Russert. I think that a report on the housing bubble might be an interesting read. I think Tiger’s come back yesterday was remarkable. But a story of a “compact nuclear devise” possibly being in the hands of just about everyone who hates us is almost not noticeable?

We are ignorant and it is in part due to the fact that the media in general gives us the news they think will get more readership, plain and simple. And even more so today when instantaneously web statistics are available to the media outlet that is so detailed they can tailor the information exactly to the demographic that the statistics bear out.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, but all we do is read the cover.

Update! About one minute after I posted this I had gone back to my home page and now this story is "above the fold" so to speak. Maybe there is hope after all.

Update #2. I have not seen or heard of this since Sunday.

Fathers Day

My Fathers Day gift from Janet. It will hang in my new garage next to the fishing pole rack just above the cooler.

Marinated Chicken Wings

Now anyone who has enjoyed the Goss family "secret" BBQ chicken wings knows how good they are. Well they just got easier to make. I happened across some chicken wings that are packaged in individual vacuum packs. See picture.

So I got this neat idea to marinate the wings. I have an injector, see picture, and I just poke that into the package and inject the marinade right into the package. This has many advantages. One I use much less marinade and two I can have several different marinades. No mess and if your only cooking for yourself or maybe two it is so easy to just inject one package.

I actually mixed my marinade in a tall glass, so easy. Now I can experiment with different marinades using less liquids and ruining fewer wings.

Enjoy!

Proud Dad

Yesterday the 11th of June was my daughters 13th wedding anniversary. First of all I think it is commendable to be married for 13 years in today's society, so congratulations for that! It also turned out as the day the Staff Sargent Surina was placed on the promotion list to Gunnery Sargent Surina. Now I can't tell you how proud that makes me feel. I love this country and all it stands for and I thank anyone who chooses to serve it with their lives. The sacrifices that Stacey and Jeff have made in the service of this country is truly something that needs to be recognized and honored.

Congratulations Jeff, and we thank you both for all you do.

Love Dad

Obama vs McCain and a history lesson.

Well did you think I would start a blog and not get political?

So the dems have done it, or at least it seems so as of today. Remember Hillary has only "suspended" her campaign just in case Barack "steps in it", and he may very well do just that. If you watch closely you will realize that the guy is not very smooth when the teleprompter is off. Then of course there are the people associated with Obama, William Ayers, Antoin Rezko, Jeremiah Wright, Jim Johnson, who resigned yesterday, and there could be others. The link is from CBS news, not really a conservative news organization, to give you just a hint of what is in store for BHO.
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/06/05/ap/politics/main4158180.shtml

Then there is Michelle's thesis, or not. It seems that she has had it embargoed until after the election. Not sure why, do you? Speaking of embargo's, so is Burack Hussein Obama's birth certificate. Now why would that have to be a big secret? Can you imagine if McCain's birth certificate was embargoed?

Well lets get to the title of this blog, Obama vs McCain. How in the world did we end up with these two? Well some of you were not around when Jimmy Carter was elected. I said the same thing back then, how did we end up with these two? Carter and Ford, what a choice huh? Now after thinking about how we got to that choice back in '76 I started thinking the unthinkable, Obama can win this? I didn't think so up until yesterday.

I happen to be a member of the "best and brightest", at least that's what Jay Severin calls the people that listen to his show. A 16 year old named Dan, I think, called in with this history lesson of how we got to the '76 choice and he hit it right on. We had Nixon in office, and I had painted a sign on the front of our house "Nixon Thru in '72" and then walked around saying "don't blame me I'm from Massachusetts!" for a few years, but I digress. Nixon was not liked very much and he made the republicans look bad so it was one of those years that "any Democrat" could get elected and he did. President Jimmy Carter. Fast forward to '08 and we have a republican in office that hasn't made the party look so bad since Nixon and McCain really doesn't bring any change to the table.

I can't vote for McCain even if it means Obama wins. And that may not be a bad thing anyway. If were are going to repeat history by electing just "any Democrat" then we may just reapeat history by electing a great president after Obama like we did in 1980 when we elected President Reagan after the four horrifying years of Jimmy Carter.

So we have either the third "Bush" term or the second "Carter" term, you decide.

How many times do you sign your name when closing?

I will tell you later. As some of you already know Janet and I have bought a home together in Hudson NH. We both loved the house on the first drive by. Friday the 13th is our lucky day as we are closing in the morning. I will be sure to count how many times we have to sign and initial documents. (I wonder how long it would take if we read all of them...?) Anyway email me if you'd like to take an internet drive down our street and see how beautiful it is.

We are going to let the current owners live under a rental agreement for 30 days. So it looks like moving week will be the 13th of July. We will let you know when the first party will be! We do know that there will be one October 11th, we will tell ya later what for....

Greg & Janet

Janet and I signed our names 27 times and intialed 3 each.
